Libation for Aphrodite

Our February libation is for Aphrodite.

Our offering will follow the usual structure of Hellenic practice: we will cleanse our hands with khernips, light incense, read hymns, and leave offerings of food and drink on the altar. The organizers of this ritual may also prepare a special meditation or prayer. Then we will share in some time and food together.

Southern California Hellenic Polytheists is an active group of "reconstructionish" practioners of Hellenismos. We are a diverse and inclusive group who used to meet regularly in person, moved to zoom only offerings, and now are experimenting with hybrid events. You are welcomed to join us on zoom and to read a hymn if you are so inclined :)
