What we're about

The South Philly Acoustic Jam provides a common gathering place for neighborhood amateur musicians and vocalists. Our group is a dynamic adult learner community where amateur musicians build skills, learn from others and play any instrument at any skill level; and our vocalists share their talents with vocal execution, improvisational arts in a supportive group environment.

Our organizing purpose is to offer a friendly, no-judgement musical culture focused on building skills. We are supportive of ourselves and other participants in ways that promote group musicianship. This unique environment fosters musical growth, development and the best conditions to understanding and appreciate music for adult learners.

Our community purpose is to be supportive of South Philadelphia communities and the broader metropolitan area by providing occasional and focused musical outreach to senior residential buildings, community music programs, park programs and other charitable community functions. We take no employment compensation for these activities

For new attendees, we will require you to show proof of COVID Vaccination. One way to make this easy and convenient is to snap a photo of your medical registration card. We will check you off as vaccinated and welcome you to all our in-person jams.
