We are not an Open Mic Group:
Not an open mic performance, everyone plays the song and anyone can sing the song. No judgment, all skills welcome, just the fun of playing with others.
Our organizing purpose is to offer a friendly, no-judgment musical culture focused on building skills. We are supportive of ourselves and other participants in ways that promote group musicianship. This unique environment fosters musical growth, development and the best conditions to understand and appreciate music for adult learners.
Our community purpose is to be supportive of South Philadelphia communities and the broader metropolitan area by providing occasional and focused musical outreach to senior residential buildings, community music programs, park programs and other charitable community functions. We take no employment compensation for these activities
What kind of music do we play?
We have an acoustic sound and welcome acoustic 6 or 12 string guitar, uke, electric bass, harmonica, percussion instruments, electric bass, keyboards, fiddle are all welcome. Is your voice your instrument? Come and sing. Play, play and sing, or sing.
