New Years Day Sunrise Hike - Bluffs Regional Trail

What better way to celebrate the New Year than to watch the sunrise on an early morning hike! It'll be light at this hour, but the sunrise won't be until 7:21am. Starting at 6:45 will give us a chance to watch from a better vantage point.

We are going to do a 5(ish) mile hike, starting at the Bluffs Regional Park Trail. Most of the hike is a wide, gravel road that offers great views of the Front Range! The Bluffs loop is only about 3 miles, so at the top, we'll take the East West trail to the East for an out and back, and then finish up the loop.

This trail can be windy (i.e. chilly), and even more so early in the morning. I will be at the trailhead shelter by 6:40am and we will begin walking by 6:45am; if you sign up and decide not to participate, please change your RSVP. I get that things come up.

We can head to the Monk and Mongoose coffee shop afterwards!
