What we’re about
Hello Ladies,
We are a group of women who enjoy riding and being in the great Colorado outdoors. We are supportive, friendly, energetic riders who enjoy meeting new people, socializing and having a great time on our bikes. We have added the "and More!" We would like to do other fun activities like walks, movies, lunch, dinner, hikes, etc. Please let us know any great ideas you have so we can possibly incorporate then into some meetup posts!!
We offer a variety of rides-- mostly Moderate--but ranging from 12 up to about 35 miles in distance. Speeds and distances vary to accommodate a variety of interests. See Description below. We are always looking to add new routes. Our event organizers are free to post their favorite rides so we have several options and even though we are mostly from the Southwest, rides will occur in various locations. If you are not yet an event organizer and would like to be, please let me know.
RIDE DESCRIPTIONS:
Easy Breezy Rides ~ 10-12 MPH
Moderate Rides ~ 10-14 MPH
Advanced Rides ~ 12-16 MPH
Swift Rides ~ 14-16 MPH
Plus Ride will be added to the description if it is over 25 miles in Distance
Super Plus Ride will be added to the description if it is over 35 miles in Distance
If there are steep hills or mountains on the ride that would be noted on the description.
Members designated as Event Organizers may post rides and will be responsible for describing the length and level of difficulty including the above Ride Description and any other descriptions that they feel would be helpful.
Meetup charges me $108.99 every six months to keep this meetup going. Any contributions would be appreciated.
Please reach out if you have any questions. We are delighted to ride this journey with
you!
Thanks,
Vicky E.

See all- Fun Time Kayaking & Paddle Boarding at Chatfield Reservoir - Gravel PondChatfield Gravel Ponds, Littleton, CO
Hello Fun Ladies!!!
Let's enjoy a fun day Kayaking and Paddle Boarding at the Chatfield Reservoir Gravel Pond on Tuesday, May 27th with a meet and greet at 9:00 am. We will meet right before the fence where the rental building/trailer is (It is all the way down at the end of the parking lot). Then at 9:15 am renters will walk on over to the rental building/trailer to sign papers and get our rentals.Ladies that have your own Kayak or SUP just meet us on the water by 9:30 am just right in front of the rental place. I am pretty sure you cannot bring your boards/kayaks past the fence of the rental place so just put your vessels in the side where everyone else is putting them in at and head down to where the rentals are in your vessel.
If you are renting, rent for the 9:30 slot for two hours. This would include a life jacket, paddles and your vessel and if needed you can rent a dry bag for your phone or your "stuff". The quicker you reserve the better chance you have of getting a kayak. They have an endless amounts of Paddle Boards and a limited amounts of single Kayaks. Last year they had only 2 single kayaks and 2 tandem kayaks. It LOOKs like they have added 2 more single kayaks so now good pobababity that they have 4 single kayaks (and 2 tandems) for this year, but not sure. Please go to 5280 Paddle Sports to reserve your kayak or paddle board if needed. If they run out of kayaks you can rent a paddle board. You can also rent a tandem Kayak for two people which would also be cheaper per person than a single.
You will need a day pass which costs $10 (that is what is was last year, could be higher) to enter the park. (Unless you have a yearly pass already).
If you have never kayaked before you will do great. Now, paddle boarding takes a little more skill but you could always just sit or kneel on it and I think you would be fine.
It is a good idea to bring a hat, a sun screened body, and to dress in layers. So bathing suits, shorts, fast dry tops and/or bottoms etc. So wear what ever you want.
Bottled water and snacks are also good ideas to bring and shoes that you don't mind getting wet. Dry bags and Phone dry bags are available to rent also.
***Do send me your cell number if you know I don't have it yet (then I will send you mine) and also let me know if you are renting or if you are bringing your own vessel and what vessel - Kayak or SUP (It will ask these questions when you RSVP). Thanks!! ***
Let me know if you have any questions!! ❓
