Earth Day - Paddling Cleanup Event

We will meet at Turkey Creek Mountain Bike Trail and Canoe Launch off of Briar Creek Blvd at 8:00 am. There is plenty of parking but no formal restrooms. Paddles in the water at 8:20 am sharp.
This will be an easy paddle approximately 3 miles picking up rubbish. Turkey Creek never disappoints. We may see gators, manatees, turtles, birds, and occasional dolphin.

Bring water, bug spray, sun screen, snacks, PFD and whistle.

AND REMEMBER EARLY IS ON TIME.

We will be piggybacking onto an existing Coastal Cleanup event. They will be meeting at Paddling Paradise. We are avoiding the crowds and launching directly into the Sanctuary without having to paddle to the Sanctuary. I will sign-in for us at Paddling Paradise. Bring a grabber if you have one, and gloves to avoid touching nasty stuff, and some garbage bags. Yes, they might provide them, but if you bring yer own then it will be better for everyone.

It will be a nice paddle, but the focus will be finding and recovering trash.

Yes, please sign up with our group, but you will also need to follow this link to tell the Green Water Space Alliance that you will be participating.
