Whether you're an seasoned improviser, active member of the SPARK community, new to the scene or new to improv—doesn't matter. At some point, you'll play. At some point, you'll watch. Or you can sit back and let yourself be entertained. That's it!

What the f*** is an improv jam?

A jam is pretty freeform and can be many things, but basically a group gets together and plays games / performs scenes randomly selected from a curated list. There's usually a host. We'll play for a couple hours. You're free to participate as much or as little as you want. If you're selected to play a game that you don't like the sound of, you're free to pass. Just really low-stakes fun.

How long is the jam?
We will play for 2 - 2,5 hrs. Depending on the energy / willingness in the room, we may keep playing for longer!

Do I have to be a student of SPARK?
No, we love everyone, and especially fresh faces! However, note that SPARK hosts its spaces based on a code of conduct with the intention to ensure a safe, enjoyable and inclusive experience for players.
