The program is designed to help more women and minority-owned businesses obtain certification. With these certifications, you will be leading toward the road to introduction to corporate supply and diversity departments and federal contracts allowing you to thrive in a competitive business environment. It is also intended to help federal agencies meet contracting goals for women and minority small businesses. The Government Needs You! The United States Federal Government is dependent on contractors, both large and small, to provide high-quality goods and services of all kinds. Small businesses are vital to this in all industries, from paper to concrete to web development. By law, the federal government has to award a percentage of all contracts to women and minority-owned qualified businesses. Once you are certified, your competition is deeply decreased. • First Business Speaker Booking Service – In October, 2012, we started making phone calls and sending emails for a select group of Speakers. Now, we’re putting Speakers in front of audiences all over the world.
