Speculative Futures is an international community of meetups focused on Speculative & Critical Design, Design Fiction, Futurism, and Strategy & Foresight.
This is a group for those interested in using design and visual approaches as a vehicle to speculate about potential or alternate futures. We host speakers — practitioners, teachers, students, and other professionals — who will be talking about their work or methods related to speculating about the future. Every event will focus on a subtopic such as the future of mobility, the future of work or the future of food – always with a strong focus on society and culture. The intention of this meetup is to build a community of curious professionals from various disciplines and to set the ground for discussions and gathering of visionary ideas.
Speculative Futures is organized in city chapters around the world. The Stuttgart Chapter of Speculative Futures is hosted by Janis Walser, Jonas Krüger, Johannes Beckert and Lennart Schnur.
It will take place every 3-4 months.
