This meet-up will be a chance to hear about other peoples' experiences with Spinnaker (spinnaker.io) open-source continuous delivery platform, network with the community, and talk about future Spinnaker development plans.

We're planning to have a Spinnaker production use case presentation & live demo by Brandon Leach and Rohit Rohitasva from Lookout, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Andy Glover from Netflix with participants from Google, Optimizely, Luxe, Plangrid, Armory and Lookout.

About the Presenters & Panel:

Brandon Leach is the Engineering Manager for Lookout's Continuous Delivery Team. He is currently leading the build out of Lookout's CD platform using Spinnaker. Brandon is passionate about enabling companies to ship better software faster, and his background includes software delivery automation and large scale distributed systems engineering.

Rohit Rohitasva is the Lead Engineer on the Lookout's Continuous Delivery Team. He is currently working on rebuilding Lookout's CD platform using Spinnaker. Rohit is passionate about building robust and scalable CI/CD pipelines and is always looking for new ways to enable Engineers to go faster.

Andy Glover is the Engineering Manager for Netflix's Delivery Engineering Team, creators of Spinnaker. Before joining Netflix, he served as the CTO of App47, where he lead the development of a SaaS Mobile Application Management platform. Andy is also the co-author of Addison Wesley's "Continuous Integration" book.

Andrew Backes is a Principal Engineer at Armory. Prior to joining Armory, Andrew was a Sr Engineer at ShareThis where he was largely responsible for implementing a CI/CD platform that increased deployments from 5 per month to 2500 per month.

Matt Duftler is a Software Engineer at Google. He is the Tech Lead for Spinnaker at Google, and led the Google Compute Engine/Spinnaker integration work.

Lars Wander is a Software Engineer at Google. He led the Kubernetes/Spinnaker integration work and is leading the Halyard effort (a tool for configuring, installing, and updating Spinnaker).

Heph Adams is the DevOps Lead at Optimizely where he works to enable self-service operations for developers and product teams. He's currently leveraging Spinnaker for PCI-Compliant continuous delivery of Docker containers in AWS.

Kevin Woo leads the Infrastructure Team at Luxe, an on demand app for parking in San Francisco, Chicago, and New York. Luxe parks 17K cars a month by using spinnaker to manage 40 services with less than 20 engineers.

Ian Smith is a Software Engineer at PlanGrid on the Dev Tools team. PlanGrid is in the process of moving from Heroku to Spinnaker and Kubernetes, to meet the needs of a growing engineering team.
