How does meditation help transmute trauma? How do contemplative practices develop self-regulation capacity around intense feeling states? What’s the role of devotion in recovery and resistance?
This participatory, multi-modal workshop will explore how zazen—Buddhist meditation as practiced in Zen communities—can support the development of wounded healers: those who draw on their own experience of suffering to create the conditions for healing in others. Through direct practice, reflection, and shared inquiry, we’ll examine what meditation can offer that conventional mindfulness approaches often leave untouched.

Facilitated by Nelson González, founder of The Crossings Collective.d
