POTRVĐENI NOVI DATUMI I PROGRAM.
NEW DATES AND PROGRAMME CONFIRMED.
(English with more details follows below)

In our series of retreats, for the second time in Croatia – a Theravada Buddhist monk (the oldest Buddhist tradition, considered closest to the original word of the Buddha) teaches meditation and talks about the training and the tradition that is 2600 years old. The programme takes place in Cava Brač and the two events will be held in English, through five days.
First two days will cater to all skill levels: from complete beginners to advanced. Meditators beginners can stay the first day or two, or, if they feel prepared, extend for the rest of the days. Advanced meditators and those interested in the teaching of the Buddha have all five days of varied programme at their disposal and the best effects come from staying through the entire five-day period.
A typical retreat day consist of:
• initial settling in and welcome
• a brief Puja (chanting)
• guided meditation: sitting, standing, walking
• full-on practice in those postures, morning and afternoon
• Dhamma (Buddha's teaching) reflections on the practice
• Q&A
• a midday vegetarian meal, followed by a break
• informal discussion and exchanges over tea
• a closing chant
A part of the days will be spent in Noble Silence. The retreat is open to general public. While some prior experience or knowledge of meditation, Buddhism etc is encouraged, a willingness to commit to all or most days of the event will be necessary. The retreat will be held in English. Attendence is free of charge, but donations will kindly be accepted. For those coming from afar, accommodation can be arranged for the entire weekend at a reasonable cost in Skrip.
