What we’re about
Come Ride With Us! The Spokane Bicycle Club is a recreational and social organization that promotes lifelong cycling for fun and health. Group rides range from leisurely 10-mile social rides to longer fitness and endurance rides, as well as occasional multi-day tours. Some rides are urban and some are in the wider Inland Northwest around Spokane and Coeur d'Alene. We offer monthly meetings showcasing cycling adventures and innovation, and we advocate for safe cycling through sponsoring and supporting cycle-positive events and activities. More about our club can be found at: www.spokanebicycleclub.org. See all- Last Thursday Night Ride of 2025. Mostly Centennial Trail. Indoor Potluck PartyTrutina at Riverside, Liberty Lake, WA
Join us for a short ride originating at the Trutina 55+ Community Clubhouse in Liberty Lake, followed by and end of the season potluck party with hot pizza, maybe some lasagna and whatever treats or side dishes you bring to share. Meet at the clubhouse for Trutina, 22495 Clairmont Ln, Liberty Lake, WA 99019, which is accessed via Wellington Parkway, north of the roundabout off of Harvard Road (north of I-90). Please arrive at 5:45 pm for a 6:00 pm rollout. Bring a light if you have one just in case we get back late. You don't need a code to get through the gate if you arrive before 7:00 pm. If you want to just come for the potluck, that would be great too. Call Dave at 509-868-5984 if the gate is locked and I'll give you the code to get through. Also, if for some reason we can't use the clubhouse that night, we will move the after-ride potluck about a block away to the home of Bonnie Ulbright at 22501 E Penrose Lane, so come find us there. Either way, there will be a microwave and oven available for heating food dishes.

Route description:
Please note 9:30 start time!
Let’s spend Sunday morning riding through some of Spokane’s favorite parks including Manito, Riverfront, Lincoln Park, Cannon Hill, High Bridge, Centennial Trail and a one-mile coast on the Ben Burr Trail.
E-Bikes and Manual bikes are welcomed. However, elevation can be steep climbing around South Hill. The loop will take us through some classic old neighborhoods with plenty of shaded streets to help keep us cool.
There will be a re-group at the ride's summit of upper Lincoln Park and also at the corner of W. 9th & S. Oak after the climb from Vinegar Flats. Other re-groups may occur for a group photo.
We will encounter about one-half mile of a packed-gravel trail when riding High Bridge Park.
On the menu is a stop at either Madeline’s Café or The Park Bench in Manito Park for refreshments, treats or a meal after the ride. It’s the Journey
This ride is designed for its scenery, variety and occasional relief from the summer sun. Riding at a slower pace allows for taking in Spokane's beauty while maneuvering around South Hill potholes, tree root bumps, and trolley-rails.Since we will be in an urban environment, having a bike bell and mirror is recommended.
Please note: Class two E-bikes are not allowed on the Centennial Trail.
Helmets Required on all SBC Rides
