Come Ride With Us! The Spokane Bicycle Club is a recreational and social organization that promotes lifelong cycling for fun and health. Group rides range from leisurely 10-mile social rides to longer fitness and endurance rides, as well as occasional multi-day tours. Some rides are urban and some are in the wider Inland Northwest around Spokane and Coeur d'Alene. We offer monthly meetings showcasing cycling adventures and innovation, and we advocate for safe cycling through sponsoring and supporting cycle-positive events and activities. Meet: Sandifur Bridge parking lot, off Clarke St.
Explore Latah Creek paths, Highbridge Park, quaint Vinegar Flats neighborhood. Ride on dirt thru Highbridge Park, next to Hangman Creek. We'll talk about trail plans for connection to Fish Lake Trailhead. Also impressive graffiti to see.. Plan on about 2 hours of entertaining exploration. 8 miles.

Welcome to the SBC Wednesday Group Ride. Participants should have at least intermediate level cycling skills and be able to maintain a steady pace (12-15 MPH) for a distance of 25 + miles (Slower pacing on hills is expected). Ride leaders will focus on a relaxed attitude and pace. So put on some causal cycling clothing and enjoy the ride. Please wear cycling related clothing. E-Bikes, Gravel Bikes and Flat Bar road bikes are all welcome. Helmets are required on all SBC rides.

Pace: Steady pace usually between 12 and 15 MPH
Distance: Approximately 30
Terrain: Paved bike path and paved roads. The route is mostly flat.
Regroup: As necessary, at major turns and Bakery by the Lake.
Route: This is a perfect out and back route to practice your Cadence and improve your technique. The route starts at Corbin Park in Post Fall and run mostly along the Centennial Trail and quiet neighborhood roads until we get to Bakery by the Lake in Coeur D’Alene (Group will select which Bakery by the Lake we go to at the start of the ride). Return to the Park retracing outbound route.
Estimated duration of the ride 2.5 to 3 hours plus time for regrouping.
Eat: Bring snacks and water for the ride. We will stop for drinks, snacks and conversation at Bakery by the Lake.
Bring: A bicycle in good working condition and equipment to make minor bicycle repairs i.e. flat tire.

Ride south on new COS Trail, also on the Indiana Ave Children of the Sun detailsprotected bike lane. Washington State Dept of Transportation engineer will be on the ride, to discuss details of the planned extension of the Trail south of Spokane River. If open, we will ride the shared use bridge across the river.
