Sunday Pickup Ride - Newman Lake

Start Time: Meet 8:15 for 8:30 rollout - Note earlier time due to heat

Meeting Location: Donkey Island Trailhead of Centennial Trail on Maringo Rd

Ride Type: Road bikes and e-bikes

Pace: 12-15 mph on flats

Distance: 49 miles

Terrain: The 13.6 miles around Newman Lake are quite hilly. Road surface is mostly good - free of potholes. There is some gravel where driveways enter or between the 2 tire tracks to watch out for.

Regroup: Occasionally, at Harvard, State line, convenience store on Trent and Starr.

Eat: Bring snacks and water. Snacks/beverages available at convenience store.

Route: CT out to State Line, back west on Wellesley, north on Starr Road. We will ride Newman lake counter clockwise, going up Muzzy which then turns on to NW Newman Lake Drive. Return via Starr Rd and Centennial Trail accessed at Harvard. Other than the Centennial Trail, we will be sharing roads with car traffic. Bring tail light if possible.
