Team Thursday: Olmstead, Pleasant Prairie, Town & Country Loop

Start Time: Meet at 8:15 for 8:30 AM rollout

Distance: 38 miles

Pace: 12 – 14 on flats

Terrain: Paved roads, flat and rolling terrain with one very steep climb

Route Description: Centennial Trail east for 9 miles through the U District and along Upriver Drive. (We'll cross under the as-yet-unopened iron bridge that will connect Children of the Sun Trail with SCC.) Then it's up Lehman Road (1.3 miles, with maximum grade +/- 12%) to Pleasant Prairie. We’ll follow scenic roads to the ever-popular Moffat Road descent. Peone, Parksmith and Hawthorne to the Whitworth neighborhood for a coffee stop at the northern outpost of the Little Garden Café. We’ll then follow the county’s recently designated Whitworth/Greta greenway through the Town and Country neighborhood, then through the Northwest Spokane, Audubon/Downriver, Emerson-Garfield and West Central neighborhoods back to the start via the Centennial Trail.
