Pedal-powered navigation meets small town charm! Join the Spokane Bicycle Club and Eastern Washington Orienteering Club (EWOC) for
The Sandpoint Scramble - a special bicycle orienteering event in beautiful Sandpoint, Idaho—a scenic challenge with a splash of exploration.
📍 Event Details

• Date: Saturday, July 19, 2025
• Location: YMCA, 1905 Pine St · Sandpoint, ID
• Registration: Opens at 9:00 AM
• Briefing: 9:45 AM (please arrive no later than 9:30 AM)
• Mass Start: 10:00 AM
• Event Ends: 1:00 PM

🧭 Riders will receive a map with ~20 marked checkpoints, each worth points depending on their difficulty and distance from the start. Choose your route, find as many checkpoints as you can, and tally your score—all while exploring the bike-friendly streets and trails of Sandpoint.
💰 Cost

• $10 for the first map (individual or group)
• $2 for each additional map

🧡 This is a casual, inclusive event for all skill levels—whether you're a competitive adventurer or just curious to try something new on two wheels.
🎒 What to Bring

• A functioning bicycle
• Helmet (required)
• Water, snacks, sunscreen
• Optional: Map holder, bike gloves
• Curiosity and good vibes

🍽️ After the ride, those interested will head out for lunch together—plus, why not make a day of it? Sandpoint offers lakeside beaches, local shops, and postcard-worthy views to round out your adventure.
