Team Thursday: Liberty Lake, Le Peep, Riverview Loop

Start Time: Meet at 8:15 for 8:30 rollout

Meeting Location/Address: Starbucks 1342 N Liberty Lake Rd, Liberty Lake, WA 99019

Distance: 35 miles

Pace: 12 to 15 mph cruising speed on flats

Terrain: Paved, mostly flat with 2 steep climbs, and rolling hills; total elevation gain +/- 1500 ft.

Route Description:
A brief ride on Appleway brings us to the Liberty Lake Stateline/North Idaho Centennial Trail, which we’ll follow to Le Peep Cafe for a breakfast/coffee stop. Once we’re fueled up, we’ll continue east on the bike trail and briefly get on Highway 95 to cross the Spokane river. We’ll climb Upriver Drive (1st steep) to Highland, then along Riverview Dr. with a few rolling hills to Post Falls. Our second big (1-mile) climb will bring us to the top of Riverview and a break at the Post Falls Community Forest trailhead/bathroom. Then a very pleasant descent back to the Centennial/Liberty Lake Stateline Trail back to the start.
