Route description:
Come spend Sunday morning riding through some of Spokane’s favorite parks including Manito, Riverfront, Lincoln Park, Cannon Hill, High Bridge, Centennial Trail and a one-mile coast on the Ben Burr Trail.
E-Bikes and Manual bikes are welcomed but elevation can be tough climbing around South Hill. The loop will take us through some classic old neighborhoods with plenty of shaded streets to help keep us cool.
There will be a re-group at the ride's summit of upper Lincoln Park and also at the corner of W. 9th & S. Oak after the climb from Vinegar Flats. Other re-groups may occur if needed.
We will encounter about one-half mile of a packed-gravel trail when riding High Bridge Park.
On the menu is a stop at The Park Bench in Manito Park for refreshments, treats or a meal after the ride.
It’s the Journey
This ride is designed for its scenery, variety and occasional relief from the summer sun. Riding at a slower pace allows for taking in Spokane's beauty while maneuvering around South Hill potholes, tree root bumps, and trolley-rails.
Since we will be in an urban environment, having a bike bell and mirror is recommended.
Please note: Class two E-bikes are not allowed on the Centennial Trail.
Helmets Required on all SBC Rides
