Women’s Ride - Riverside State Park Roads

Details

Meeting Location: Riverside State Park (Discover Pass required) Bowl & Pitcher Upper Parking Lot (first parking lot on the left at the gate).
No bathrooms at upper parking lot, but are available down the hill in the park.

Pace: Leisurely 10-12 mph average (less on the hills).
Terrain: Rolling. Climbs are short and easy, not too numerous.
Map: https://ridewithgps.com/trips/317636569 (Note: we will not be doing the little segment north of Seven Mile).

Eat: The ride will end early (between 10:30-11), so bring a snack to enjoy during a relaxing social visit at the picnic tables near the river at the lower parking lot.
Cancellation Policy: Air Quality Index above 150, Rain/Thunder.
Ride Leaders: Anita Boyden & Erica Dellwo. T

General Description: Please arrive by 8:45 am for 9:00 am start. Don't forget to bring your Discover Pass; if you don't have one, please try to arrange a carpool in the comments below (or buy a day pass - https://www.discoverpass.wa.gov/133/Where-to-Buy).

Route: Starting from the upper parking lot at the Bowl & Pitcher entrance to Riverside State Park, we will travel North, sharing the road, on Aubrey White Parkway until it dead ends at Seven Mile Road (regroup here). Turning left, we will cross the bridge, then turn left (South) on Riverside Park Drive. At the Wilbur Trailhead, the road ends and the Centennial Trail continues straight on. We will turn around at the restroom where hiking trail 211 crosses the Centennial Trail (if you start to climb a long, long hill, you've gone too far) (regroup here). We will double back the way we came (regroup at Wilbur Trailhead). The Ride With GPS route shows a spur where we crossed Seven Mile Road to follow the Centennial Trail, but we decided to ultimately not include this in our trip, so just ignore that. This won't be a long ride, but the hills will provide a little challenge.

Eat: Even though it will be early, please bring something to enjoy as we socialize around a picnic table after the ride. Bring plenty of water to prepare for heat.

Helmets required on all SBC rides.

Leaders: Erica Dellwo and Anita Boyden.
