"Sentimental Value" at the Magic Lantern
Details
UPDATE 12/3/25: The Magic Lantern has officially released their weekend schedule, and I can confirm that we'll be watching SENTIMENTAL VALUE this Saturday. It starts at 4:30pm, which is a bit earlier than we normally meet. It should end around 7pm, after which we'll walk to the Mango Tree restaurant for dinner and conversation.
Make sure to plan ahead for any transportation needs, given the time of year, and please update your RSVP accordingly if you are not attending (or just not going to dinner). Let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday.

Hello, fellow film lovers! Aaron Spickelmire, assistant organizer, contacting you about our next Arthouse Cinema Meetup gathering. It will be on Saturday, December 6th at the Magic Lantern Theater, and will start around 4:30pm.
The film schedule for that weekend hasn't been finalized yet, but we'll most likely be seeing SENTIMENTAL VALUE, the latest film from director Joachim Trier (THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD). It's a strong awards season contender, so it should be well worth your time. See below for a brief synopsis and a trailer link:
An intimate exploration of family, memories, and the reconciliatory power of art.

I'll update this listing's details once the Lantern's full schedule is announced. We'll most likely be starting earlier than normal, at 4:30pm, due to rental screenings the theater has later in the evening. Please plan accordingly for any parking needs.
After the movie we'll walk to the Mango Tree Restaurant, located at 401 W. Main Ave, for dinner, drinks and conversation. If you plan to see the movie but not attend dinner, please set your RSVP to "No." That way, I can provide the restaurant with an accurate number of diners. Please reach out if you have any questions, and I look forward to seeing everyone soon.
