"I Shot Andy Warhol" at The Magic Lantern

UPDATE: The Magic Lantern has released their schedule for next week, and we will be seeing the 5:30 screening of I Shot Andy Warhol, so I have changed the meetup time to 5:15. After the film we will go to Spokane Slice for dinner, drinks, and conversation. NOTE: To expedite the food, I'm going to try something new. I will order a couple of pizzas (one with meat and one half-vegetarian and half-cheese) before the film so they are ready when we arrive. If you'd like to buy a slice, please bring $5 cash; I'll have a cash box for you to pay when you grab a slice. If you prefer a salad or sandwich, simply order at the country without the long line of people ordering pizza. See you Friday!

Our next meetup will be at The Magic Lantern Theatre on Friday, July 10 at approximately 5:30pm, depending on which films are playing and their show times. As soon as the Lantern publishes their schedule (on June 2), I will update the time.

I expect we will be seeing I Shot Andy Warhol, a 1996 film about Valerie Solanas, a '60s radical who preached misandry in her "Scum" manifesto. She wrote a screenplay for a film that she wanted Andy Warhol to produce, but after he repeatedly ignored her, she shot him.

After the movie, we will head next door to either to Spokane Slice (the pizza place in Saranac Commons, if the movie gets out early enough) or the Saranac Public House for dinner, drinks, and conversation. As soon as I know the show time, I'll update the meetup with the restaurant details.

As always, if you plan to come to the movie but won't be joining us afterward, please RSVP "No" to help us have an accurate head count for the restaurant.
