Join Spotlight Toastmasters on Saturday, June 6, for a powerful session dedicated to one of the most universal human experiences — fear — and what happens when you learn to manage it instead of run from it.

Whether fear shows up before a big presentation, a difficult conversation, or simply raising your hand in a room full of strangers, this meeting is your safe space to confront it, reframe it, and turn it into fuel.

You may attend via Zoom or in person — both are equally welcome!
💡 Managing Fear: Tips to Get You Started

Before you even walk through the door, try these:

• Name it — Identifying your specific fear takes away some of its power.
• Breathe first — A slow 4-count inhale and exhale calms your nervous system before you speak.
• Reframe the room — Audiences want you to succeed. They're rooting for you.
• Start small — Raise your hand, introduce yourself, ask one question. Small wins build big confidence.
• Practice in public — Toastmasters is literally the training ground for this. Every meeting is a rep.

Join us Saturday, June 20, for a theme around one of the most powerful — and underrated — communication skills: brevity.
In a world of endless noise, the ability to make your point fast and make it land is a superpower.

Whether you're pitching an idea, networking at an event, or speaking up in a meeting, those first 30 seconds can open doors — or close them.

💡 Harness the Power of Brevity: Tips to Get You Started
Before you ever open your mouth, try these:
• Lead with the point — Don't build up to it. Say it first, then support it.
• Cut the filler — Every "um," "basically," and "kind of" costs you credibility. Silence is stronger.
• Use the 3-word rule — If you can't summarize your message in 3 words, you don't own it yet.
• Time yourself — Record a 30-second version of something you need to say. You'll be surprised what you discover.
• Earn the next 30 seconds — Great brevity doesn't end the conversation. It starts one.

This will also mark our final meeting for the 2025-26 Toastmasters year.
