What we’re about
Kate Ratliff aka Spring Hollow Art Gallery & Studio has moved to Durham NC at Makers Studio 600 Willard Street. She schedules events and individual appointments can be set up to see her beautiful merchandise. She invites friends to host parties for her and she will bring things to you and your friends. You will receive 20% in merchandise from sales are 15% in cash. She will also be doing art shows which will be announced through social media, meetup, Facebook and instagram.
Spring Hollow features exquisite handpicked, hand made art and items from local as well as international artists, and also a space to come create your own art as well. Spring Hollow features fine art as well as one-of-a-kind hand made artifacts and beads you can add to your collection, or use as a medium to create your own jewelry, pottery, painting, and handbags. Kate imports beautiful handmade clothing from Thailand and Vietnam. Kate also offer a variety of social and instructional classes featuring meditation, painting, pottery, and bead circles to help inspire and get your creative juices flowing!
Spring Hollow is a place to find your inner artist. Kate is a retired teacher with a PhD in early childhood education. She taught children to discover themselves through the arts and social development founding schools in Bangkok, Early Learning Center and Nashville Tennessee, Spring Hollow Early Learning Center, both inspired by the renown Reggio Emilia Approach. She believes that all people are natural born artists, but life has a way of stifling the artist in all of us. As young children, we are stifled by our adult caregivers in our lives that expect us to learn to draw a tree as they see it, not accepting our interpretations of the tree. No matter your age, identity or responsibilities, you can unlock the creative artist that yearns to be free!
