Are you a freelancer, self-employed, remote worker, creative, consultant, sole trader or independent professional based in St Albans or the wider Hertfordshire area?
I’m looking to see if there’s interest in starting a friendly local group for freelancers of all professions — a relaxed space to meet others who understand the highs, lows and occasional isolation of working for yourself.
The idea is simple: to get away from our desks, laptops and screens from time to time, meet for coffee or lunch locally, build genuine friendships, share ideas, talk about work and life, and hopefully create a supportive little community of like-minded people.
This wouldn’t be a formal networking group or anything overly corporate. More of a warm, easy-going meet-up for people who work independently and would enjoy some real-world conversation, connection and company during the working week.
If there’s enough interest, the plan would be to arrange regular coffee or lunch meet-ups in St Albans and possibly other nearby Hertfordshire towns too.
