As computing professionals, much of our work happens behind screens — designing systems, writing software, and solving technical problems. But being part of a professional community also means contributing to the world around us in tangible ways.
The mission of ACM is to advance computing as a science and profession, and that mission extends beyond technology. Through community service, we can use our skills, time, and energy to support the people and organizations that make our communities stronger.
For this event, ACM STL members and friends will volunteer together at a local food bank. Activities may include sorting donations, packing food boxes, organizing supplies, or other tasks that help support food access in our region.
No special skills are required — just bring a willingness to help, meet fellow ACM members, and spend some time making a positive impact outside of our usual technical work.## What to Bring

- A positive attitude!
This event is open to ACM members, software engineers, students, and anyone interested in supporting our community.
