Join us for a cozy and welcoming evening of creative writing in a relaxed café atmosphere.
This is a casual and comfy after work gathering focused on creativity, self expression, and meeting interesting people. We keep the atmosphere comfortable and pressure free, with plenty of opportunities to write, share ideas, and connect with fellow creatives.

Only 8 Meetup guest spots available (we usually also have several members joining from our private community). You can also sign up through our website, where registrations open before Meetup and give you access to spots earlier.

## What are we doing in this session?

We start at 19:30 and spend around 1.5 hours exploring different creative writing activities together.
A typical session may include:

• Short stories based on prompts
• Character creation challenges
• Dialogue and scene writing exercises
• Script and screenplay experiments
• Collaborative storytelling
• Flash fiction and other creative writing formats

Every session is different, keeping things fresh :)

After each writing exercise, anyone who wants to can read their work aloud to the group. Sharing is completely optional as many people simply enjoy writing and listening.

## Who is welcome?

We are a highly inclusive community and a safe space. Everyone is welcome, whether you're:

• A complete beginner
• An experienced writer
• An expat looking to meet people
• Someone who hasn't written creatively in years
• Simply curious about trying something new

The goal is to enjoy the creative process, not to produce perfect writing.
Due to the possibility of adult themes appearing in creative work and discussions, this event is 18+ only. 🔞 🔞 🔞

## Any payments?

The event itself is completely free.
However, we kindly ask participants to support our host venue by purchasing a drink, snack, or something else from the café, as they generously allow us to use their space.

Cafe Kausal accepts both cash and card payments, so no worries there.

## What should I bring?

• A pen and notebook, or a laptop/tablet if you prefer writing digitally (we have extra papers!)
• Your creativity

## Any rules?

Please be respectful to all members. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, harassment, or other discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated.
We aim to create a welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable expressing themselves creatively.

Furthermore, due to the limited number of places available, guests who fail to show up twice within one month without giving at least 24 hours notice will unfortunately be banned from future events. We hope you understand.

English Theatre Practice | Acting, Improv & Scene Work – STAGED!

Join us for a relaxed and beginner friendly theatre workshop focused on the basics of acting, improvisation, scene creation, and performance. No experience needed at all! this is a space to explore, experiment, and have fun together without pressure.

This is not a formal acting class led by a big industry coach, but rather a collaborative workshop run by people passionate about theatre who enjoy creating a welcoming environment for people to learn, try things out together and socialize.

We keep the group small so everyone can participate comfortably and get involved.
Only 10 Meetup guest spots available (we usually also have 5–10 members joining from our private community).

What will we do?
Each session also focuses on a different aspect of theatre practice. Depending on the workshop, we may explore topics such as vocal training, movement, character study, scene composition, improvisation, stage presence, script work, or collaborative scene building. This keeps every session fresh and gives participants the chance to gradually discover different approaches to performance and theatre making.
The focus is on creativity, expression, and enjoying the process rather than “performing perfectly.”

Who is welcome?
Absolutely everyone. Whether you are curious about acting, want to become more confident, meet creative people, improve your craft, or simply try something different, you are very welcome here.
If you are a complete beginner to the idea of theater.
We also host a very beginner friendly workshop that gives you insight into script writing, directing and acting on Sundays!

Please note that the event is for 18+ only.

Any payments?
€7 which is used to cover the cost of the venue, meetup and amenities :)

What should I bring?
Just bring yourself and maybe a pen and water bottle. Comfortable clothing is recommended.

Also, because places are limited, guests who repeatedly RSVP and do not show up without notice may unfortunately be removed from future events.

Create a Play in One Day! English Theatre, Improv & Writing Workshop - STAGED!

Join us for a fun and welcoming evening of devised theatre, scene writing script writing, and short performances in a relaxed atmosphere. No acting experience is needed! beginners are especially welcome!

We keep the group small so everyone gets involved and feels comfortable.

Only 15 Meetup guest spots available (we usually also have 8–12 members joining from our private community).

What is devised theater?
A collaborative creative process where a new performance piece is developed by an ensemble of artists from scratch, rather than starting with a pre existing script. Here there are no writers, directors, actors or such, everyone will help in all aspects to bring a scene to life!

What are we doing in this session?
We start with around 15 minutes of warm up exercises to get to know our collaborators, we then move on to 45 minutes of creative script writing. We form groups and create scenes based on a template with many famous theater script writing theory sections which will be explained. Lastly, we form acting groups and based on the written scripts, create mini five minutes scenes and perform.

Who is welcome?
We are a highly inclusive community and a safe space, anyone who has a lot of experience in theater or none at all is welcome! You just have a lingering interest? Come by and see if theater is for you!

Due to the possibility of adult topics, we can only accept guests above the age of 18. 🔞 🔞 🔞
