English Beginner Friendly Theatre, Improv & Script writing - STAGED!

Join us for a fun and welcoming evening of devised theatre, scene writing script writing, and short performances in a relaxed atmosphere. No acting experience is needed! beginners are especially welcome!

We keep the group small so everyone gets involved and feels comfortable.

Only 10 Meetup guest spots available (we usually also have 10–15 members joining from our private community).

What is devised theater?
A collaborative creative process where a new performance piece is developed by an ensemble of artists from scratch, rather than starting with a pre existing script. Here there are no writers, directors, actors or such, everyone will help in all aspects to bring a scene to life!

What are we doing in this session?
We start with around 15 minutes of warm up excersies to get to know our collaborators, we then move on to 45 minutes of creative script writing. We form groups and create scenes based on a template with many famous theater script writing theory sections which will be explained. Lastly, we form acting groups and based on the written scripts, create mini five minutes scenes and perform.

Who is welcome?
We are a highly inclusive community and a safe space, anyone who has a lot of experience in theater or none at all is welcome! You just have a lingering interest? Come by and see if theater is for you!

After attending a few sessions, you may be invited to join our private community and future projects.

What should I bring?
Water is available for free, beer and wine is also available on a "pay as you want" basis. Please bring a pen.

Please be respectful to all the members. Racism, sexism, homophobia and such will not be tolerated.
furthermore, due to the limited amount of places available, guests who fail to show up 2 times in 2 months (with no notice 24 hours earlier) will unfortunately be banned, we hope you understand.
