A challenging and scenic point-to-point hike featuring waterfalls, ridge views, stream crossings, ravines, and a fun scramble up Bear Mountain.
Highlights include:

• Race Brook Falls
• Mount Race
• Sages Ravine

Meet: 9:30 AM to allow for preparation and 15 min drive to the actual start of the hike
📍 Undermountain Trailhead
395 Under Mountain Rd, Salisbury, CT 06068
This is a car spot hike. We’ll carpool to the trailhead after meeting.
Bring water, food, proper footwear, and be prepared for steep and rocky terrain.
Notes:
Please arrive 10-15 min prior to a scheduled start. We’ll keep a steady but manageable pace and regroup as needed. This hike is best suited for those comfortable with elevation gain and uneven, rocky terrain over a significant distance.
Weather policy:
This hike will not be cancelled due to light rain or drizzle. Please come prepared with appropriate rain gear and footwear for potentially wet and muddy conditions.
A final weather decision will be made no earlier than the day before the hike. If there is a significant chance of strong showers or thunderstorms, the hike may be postponed to the following week or the week after.
