You are all invited to come along and break out of your silo's and goblin pits of despair. Ok that last bit might have been a projection; whoops!
Stand up can be a quite a solo journey and the scene can feel quite exclusive at times. So the vision here is to offer a space where we can build and grow a supportive collective together. A collective that is conducive to growth and allows us to develop our craft. There's been talk of putting on our own curated themed events so if that’s something you’re interested in bringing to fruition then reach out.
This is a a relaxed space for you to develop/rehearse your bits, seek feedback and support others. No pressure to perform, it's a relaxed setting that works around the needs of the group/individuals that show up on the day. And it doesn't need to be straight stand up. Personally I have a parody web series that I've written that i'd like to workshop and hopefully recruit for.
All weirdos welcome including those yet to brave the stage. Feel free to turn up at anytime during the allotted slot or leave when needed; no warning lights here.
Come, come! Let's shape this together! You'll only get better by failing spectacularly and what better space to do it than in a place of learning without the tension of boozed up spectators.
Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need extra support to help you attend.
The room is accessible and has capacity for 40 people so ignore the 10 max capacity on meetup and come along if you feel drawn.
