About us
StartOutdoors_Utah is a group of University of Utah students who want to get more people outside.
We host hikes, campfires, and other outdoor events where you can meet new people, learn a few outdoor skills, and have a good time. You do not need to be an expert or already have people to go with, just show up and come hang out.
We want to make the outdoors feel less intimidating and more accessible for everyone. We’ll provide what we can for each event, and we’ll always let you know ahead of time if there is anything you need to bring

Campfire!
Millcreek Canyon, 3800 Mill Creek Canyon Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84124, USA, Salt Lake City, UT, USWe’re hosting another free community event: a campfire night where there will be smores, a potluck, fire starting and safety, and games!
Carpool will be available. We’d love to see you all, and please spread the word and invite a friend! Exact pin of the location will be send day of.
