## Details

The YEG Javascript Meetup, ExchangeJS is a gathering of Javascript minded folks, who want to discuss and further their exploration of this language that underpins the internet. We're being supported actively (and are supporting in turn) the YEG Ruby meetup, and the Dev Edmonton Society from an organizational and logistical perspective. You can find out more at https://devedmonton.com/ where you can find links to the Dev Edmonton slack, where most of our organization happens. If you're interested in a chat, doing a talk, or learning more about Javascript, check out the link above and get onto the Slack!

The talks for this month are:

ESLint: Making and breaking your own linters! by Daniel Zhou

Let's learn about code linters, what are they, how do I use one, and how do I make one? Let’s make a small linter rule / plugin for labelling interactive React components with a test identifier for Cypress.

React Hook Forms Advanced by Mark Bennett

React Hook Forms provide a simple and performant API for handling form input and validation both for the web and with React Native. Join Mark as he explores it’s API and demonstrates real-life issues while building a simple form application.

Come ask our panelists your burning Ruby and JS questions!

--------------------------

The meetup is sponsored by our community champions Jobber, Dotdash and Punchcard, and produced each month by the Edmonton JavaScript community. With COVID, we don't have as much need for sponsors at the moment, but we're always looking for support. If you want to support the Javascript and Ruby communities in specific, or devs in general, get in touch! For more information, join us on the Dev Edmonton Slack at https://exchangejs.com/slack, and visit exchangejs.com (http://www.exchangejs.com/).
