Samuel Taylor is a former professional baseball player and entrepreneur dedicated to transforming athletic performance through technology. After playing for the AAA team of the California Angels and earning a degree in sports science from the University of San Francisco, Taylor founded Core Impact to address the gap in real-time performance data for athletes. Drawing on over two decades of design and product development experience, he created Core Impact’s patent-pending wearable system to track muscle activity, fatigue, acceleration, and heart rate. Under his leadership, the Elk Grove-based startup was selected for the Growth Factory business incubator and is now expanding through beta testing and fundraising.

Core Impact is a California-based sports technology company dedicated to enhancing athletic performance through advanced wearable apparel, footwear, equipment, and subscription-based training content. Founded in 2019, Core Impact combines sensor-equipped gear with expert-driven training programs to provide athletes with instant, unbiased performance data.
