Thirsty Sword Lesbians / Escape from SS Closet / Lawrenceville RPG Day 7
Lawrence Hall, 4609 Butler Street, Pittsburgh, PA, USA group of strangers wakes up in adjacent cells aboard the S.S. Closet — a prison ship with no obvious exit and an unclear agenda.
Escape from the Closet is a one-shot using Thirsty Sword Lesbians, a queer-centered RPG built around radical empathy, found family, and the complicated dynamics of people who need each other before they trust each other. The system rewards emotional honesty, messy relationships, and bold choices — but don't let that scare you off from a good jailbreak.
You'll need to form alliances, figure out who's who, and bust out of a ship that doesn't want to let you go. The tone swings between big laughs and real stakes — sometimes in the same scene.
No experience with the system or genre is needed. Pre-generated characters provided.

DnD 5E / Death House / Lawrenceville RPG Day 7
Lawrence Hall, 4609 Butler Street, Pittsburgh, PA, USThere's a monster in the house. It wants you deeper inside.
Death House is a gothic horror D&D 5e one-shot set in the cursed village of Barovia — an intro adventure from Curse of Strahd that works as a complete, standalone session.
You've been drawn into a semi-sentient mansion with a dark history: a family corrupted by forbidden ritual, two neglected children whose spirits never left, and a cult whose work was never finished. The house knows why you're here. It's been waiting.
As you explore, the story of this place will reveal itself — not in lore dumps, but through what you find in the rooms, the walls, and the things that move when you're not looking.
The session ends with a genuine moral choice. There's no clean way out.
This one is horror in the full sense. Expect dread, dark themes, and decisions with real weight.
No experience with D&D or gothic horror is needed. Pre-generated characters provided.
Not in the mood for horror? Check out other events happening for RPG Game Day.

Candela Obscura / An Unusual Assignment / Lawrenceville RPG Day 7
Lawrence Hall, 4609 Butler Street, Pittsburgh, PA, USSomething is wrong. It's been wrong for a while. You've been sent to find out how wrong.
Candela Obscura is a horror-investigation RPG set in a gas-lit city where the boundary between the mundane and the supernatural is thin, fraying, and actively dangerous. You play members of a secret society dispatched to investigate an anomaly — something that shouldn't exist, doing things that shouldn't be possible.
The system is built on the Illuminated Worlds engine: no hit points, no action economy, just a small pool of dice and the slow accumulation of scars, trauma, and irreversible change. The closer you get to the truth, the more it costs you.
Come ready to dig in, ask the wrong questions, and find out what's really out there.
No experience with the system is needed. Pre-generated characters provided.
Not the investigative type? Check out other events happening for RPG Game Day.
