Dread is a diceless, numberless horror game for 5 to 7 players plus the GM that emphasizes collaborative storytelling, immersive role-playing, and players working with the GM to create and maintain a frightening atmosphere.
Your character sheet is your answers to 13 (sometimes loaded) questions, and you and your party will be the protagonists of a one-shot horror story from which many of you may not make it out alive. Conflicts are resolved by pulling blocks from a Jenga tower…and if the tower falls, your character falls with it.
Mechanics are simple and will be explained at the table; no previous experience is needed.
The story you will play will be chosen by your party from a variety of options offered by the GM at the start of play.
