I'm a Lover Not a Fighter / Masks and Mischief / Lawrenceville RPG Day 5
Details
A musketeer, a masked trickster, and a lovesick duelist walk into a heist. No one said it would go smoothly.
Masks and Mischief is a swashbuckling, roleplay-forward one-shot set in the gloriously vague 17th century — where intrigue, comedy, and cartoonish chaos collide.
You'll play a caricature of the era's most daring archetypes: a masked Commedia dell'Arte Arlecchino, a glory-seeking musketeer, a duelist with something to prove, or something equally audacious. Your crew has one goal — to creatively liberate (read: steal or rescue) a person or fortune being wrongfully held by the corrupt powers-that-be.
- Comedy-forward with room for drama, mystery, and political maneuvering
- Swashbuckling, scheming, and a catastrophic amount of slapstick
- Cartoonish physical humor — no graphic content
The plan will fall apart. You'll improvise something better.
No experience required. Characters are created together at the start of the session.
