Candela Obscura is a horror-investigation one-shot set in a world of gaslit streets and encroaching darkness. You'll play members of a Circle — investigators called in when the strange and terrible can no longer be explained away.
A case has emerged that defies explanation. People are being admitted to the local asylum in record numbers. And you have been called it to investigate. This isn’t normal- and the numbers are rising. Can you get to the bottom of what is happening?
Expect dread, hard choices, and a truth that may cost you something to uncover. Some mysteries have tidy answers. This is not one of them.
Content Warnings: Misinterpreted mental health struggles by some NPCs, body horror, hallucinations/disconnect with “reality”. Safety tools as well as a lines and veils sheet will be discussed prior to play.
