The Borrowed Man is a D&D 5e horror-mystery one-shot for the Halloween season. Kindly old bookseller Elias Wren has always welcomed the neighborhood's poorest children with warm food, fantastic stories, and a delightfully hideous puppet show — but lately something has taken hold of the streets around his shop. Respectable citizens are disappearing. Graves have been disturbed. And after dark, children in corn-husk masks have been seen slipping through the neighborhood, carrying things they shouldn't have.
