Old Gods of Appalachia / Winter's Welcome / Brookline RPG Day
Details
Winter has already taken its toll this season. It may only be getting started.
Winter's Welcome is a folk horror one-shot for the Cypher System, set in the world of Old Gods of Appalachia. It's a gentle first look at Cypher, and you don't need to know the rules going in.
Every year, the festival ends the same way: an effigy of Old Man Winter goes up in flames and the cold is sent on its way. This year, he isn't going down.
- Folk horror rooted in Appalachian culture and tradition
- Slow-building dread with real drama at the table
- Meaningful choices within a guided story
- Beginner-friendly introduction to the Cypher System
Content note: Horror content.
The fire is lit. Winter is not leaving.
