Evening Ukulele Concert - Dan "Cool Hand Uke" Scanlan

Details
Walk-Ins Welcome. Dan began playing the ukulele and writing songs for it in 1961. He has been playing, performing and teaching ever since. Dan has a long resume of ukulele-related activities, and has formed numerous groups of ukulele performers. Dan hosts and emcees many national and international ukulele gatherings, including those in Ireland, Nova Scotia and Hawaii. Dan says "I believe the highest calling a musician can have is that of the minstrel who comes to town to entertain and spread the thoughts folks are having." He adds that "The uke doesn't need a slogan; it just tickles 'em into a better place."
The concert will be held in the basement auditorium at Wilkins School Community Center, near Regent Square. Doors will open at 7 PM and the 90 minute concert will start at 7:30 PM. The concert will be followed by a Jam Session - BRING YOUR UKE! Entrance to this concert and jam costs $10 and is "cash only" at the door. Please Note - no checks or charge cards can be accepted.
Walk-ins are welcome for this concert, but we would appreciate it if you would RSVP for this Meetup as soon as possible.
Come and experience the wonderful ukulele sounds of an international star, "Cool Hand Uke."
