About us

We're a group of people who love looking up at the night sky and want to understand how telescopes actually work by building them ourselves. Whether you're completely new to this or you've been grinding mirrors for years, there's something here for you. We meet regularly to share techniques, troubleshoot projects, and just enjoy the company of folks who think spending an evening grinding glass or assembling optics sounds like a good time.

The goal is pretty simple: learn by doing, help each other out, and maybe end up with a telescope you built with your own hands that actually works. We cover everything from the basics of how telescopes function to hands-on work with mirrors, tubes, mounts, and eyepieces. Some of us are into Dobsonians, others prefer refractors or other designs. We share resources, swap tips about where to source materials, and honestly just encourage each other through the parts that get frustrating.

If you're curious about astronomy, enjoy building things, or just want to hang out with people who are passionate about this stuff, come by a meetup. No experience necessary, just bring some patience and genuine interest in learning something new alongside a friendly group of stargazers.
