Looking for fun things to do in your free time? look no further! Stevens Creek Outdoor Recreation is based out of the new nature center in Mint hill. We are going to be offering a wide variety of adventure programs in the county as well as day trips out of the county. From longboarding on greenways to campfires at our preserve, we will be offering all kinds of fun programs to get you off your couch and to meet new people in your community. All skill levels are welcome to our programs!

Geocache Charlotte 2026 Challenge (FREE but registration required)
Ever heard of geocaching? It's like a world-wide scavenger hunt that leads you on a wild chase for hidden goodies in city parks and nature's nooks. Grab your phone or GPS, gear up for an epic quest to discover 50 secret treasures scattered across Charlotte's parks, greenways and nature preserves. Sign up before February 4th, hunt for caches and record your finds from February 7th to April 25th, and bag some sweet prizes for logging all 50 caches and being a cache-crushing champ!

Birdwatching Day Trip to Salem Lake
Stevens Creek Nature Preserve, 15700 Thompson Rd, Mint Hill, NC, USSalem Lake is a 365 acre lake with over 7 miles of trails. This largest body of water in Forsyth County is a hotspot for waterfowl such Ruddy Ducks, Wood Ducks, and Buffleheads. After an hour and fifteen minute drive, we'll take the Salem Lake Trail looking for ducks and other winter species.
