this route requires scrambling. some steep hills that we go down and back up. it’ll be slow and take longer than 1.6 miles usually takes us. it is a very cool canyon with a great little slot. there is a rappelling route near the trailhead. over all, a great little hike.

Turtle Wall and Paradise Rim Loop Hike.

Paradise/The Gap trailhead, N. Cascade Canyon Dr., Saint George, UT, US
3 miles, 460 ft. elevation gain. I expect this hike will take just under 2 hours to complete. The featured photo is from a previous group hike at this location. Great views from paradiserim!

yellow knolls loop

Yellow Knolls trailhead, Cottonwood Rd, St George, UT, US
5 miles, 500’ gain. some light scrambling. loop up one canyon and down another. pretty sandstone hills.

We start out cross country to the east, meet an old service road and follow It north to the end of the canyon, scramble up a hill to high point trail, follow It west to Its Intersection with yellow knolls, then this trail back to our cars. lots of lovely flora and fauna with wildflowers coming out this month. beautiful trails!
