Talk#1

Identity theft: Developers are key (Brian Vermeer, Blue4IT)

Identity theft is perhaps the most concerning kind of Cybercrime nowadays. The most concerning aspect of identity theft is that once you are a victim it is hard to get rid of the consequences. Although as developers we are probably well aware of the risks towards cybercrime and identity theft in particular, in many parts we as developers play a big role in making identity theft happen. It is not only about how secure is your program, but how aware are you? Or better said how naive are we in practice as developers in this big bad world.

Talk#2

Squashing JavaScript Bugs (Todd Gardner, TrackJS)

The web is a hostile place. Browser variance, invasive plugins, unstable networks, evolving languages and tools, and complex systemsOur JavaScript apps will inevitably break. When they do, we need to be ready to debug the problem and fix it fast. We'll debug errors live in a demonstration of debugging techniques and tools.

    Hi,

Its important that you don't show up before 18.30 for this meetup. Jfokus session ends at 18.00 and attendees need to exit the rooms and leave to avoid "strul". If you come earlier, the hotel have a bar in the reception for a "after-work-beer" while waiting.

You should enter the venue in the "canyon" between the hotel and the Waterfront Congress Centre. Walk directly down to the rooms at level 2. There will be coat-hangers in the rooms instead of using the Waterfront cloakroom.

    Welcome,
    Mattias Karlsson, Jfokus

There is going to be veggy wrapps so I see it as a high probability that some animal product is used. So I will recommend you to eat before coming.

Well, there will be a bar. But the beer is not free. Bring a credit card ;-)
