Between core-web vitals and profiling tools there's always one big obstacle, company buy-in. There are many ways your performance work might not be seen or prioritised. So let's talk about them.

This talk is directed at developers and engineering managers that are interested in getting buy-in for their performance work. Most developers understand why it is important to work on performance, most developers are invested and interested in learning about web-vitals and performance metrics and debugging tools. Where most developers fall short is on understanding on how to upsell those initiatives to management and how to show the RoI of those initiatives to maintain a performance governance alive.

This talk plans to break down a governance plan on how developers can get or improve buy-in on performance work that more often than not never leaves a backlog.
