What we're about

STHLM Outdoor (changed name from Stockholm Outdoor Enthusiasts) is a group for anyone that's interested in any kind of outdoor activity, whether it be hiking, climbing, mountain biking, mushroom picking, kayaking, camping or just plain forest walking etc. etc.. All skill levels are more than welcome. The group started as a way to meet other outdoor enthusiasts, experience together, learn from each other and to have a great time and that is the goal forward too!

Experienced people in a certain activity are very welcome to be hosting events. The goal is to have several events every week for people to attend, from bouldering to ice skating. Looking forward to exploring the outdoors with everybody!

Vårberg - Trekanten, 14 km with extension

Vårberg T-bana

🚨Read the description in full, 1 minute read🚨 Two classic Stockholm city hikes combined: Vårberg to Bredäng + Bredäng to Liljeholmen. We start by the church (see meeting point) and end by the Trekanten lake. Total distance is 14 km, mostly on Mälaren shore. For eager and adventurous we will cross through Stora Essingen and go “back” on the other shore to Nockeby. If you feel sick - do not come, cancel and notify in advance. There is a number of rules from which I never deviate: 1. Always cancel at least on day in advance, in case of emergency at least message me that you can’t participate. Rule here is that I don’t accept those who just dropped a ball next time, 2. We don’t wait for more than 5 minutes, after that it’s up to you to find us and keep up, 3. Pace is brisk, 4 km/hour, 4. We all adults and responsible for our clothes, food, WC a medical needs on the way ourselves. This being said, normal human involvement and help is always a fact with decent participants. 5. No smoking. This event is not child-friendly per se, though if you and a child will manage to keep up with the group it’s great, you are welcome. I don’t have anything against the pets on my hikes, but ask if the group members are also fine. We will have breaks, contemplate nature, and eat twice (lunch and fika) on the beautiful spots. Weather is never an issue and I don’t cancel due to it. Det finns inget dåligt väder, bara dåliga kläder. See you.
