Chasing the Winter Sun on Utö ☀️ 😎

With only about half an hour of sunlight in December, this Sunday’s forecast promises a real daylight boost. Utö offers sweeping views of the southern horizon, perfect for enjoying the low winter sun and soaking in rare daylight during the darkest time of the year.

The hike will partly be off-trail, often on cliffs, which may involve slightly more challenging sections in places.

Where to meet
Let's meet up either in the ferry's boarding queue or aboard the ferry itself at 10:20 when the ferry depart.

Getting there
Take Bus 846 from Västerhaninge station, Läge E at 10:02 to Årsta brygga (10:16). Then take Waxholmsbolaget 21 from Årsta brygga at 10:20 to Gruvbryggan (11:15). If you come with a car, there is also paid parking nearby.

Getting back
We take Waxholmsbolaget 21 from Gruvbryggan (14:35) to Årsta brygga (15:30), then Bus 846 to Västerhaninge station (15:56)..
