Join us for a cookout on Finnhamn in the icy archipelago during maybe the last days of winter. We'll make a fire, and you bring your food to cook. This will be a peaceful, low-key experience focusing on cooking and short excursions.

Right now, there鈥檚 a unique chance to ride a hovercraft in the archipelago. Due to the thick ice, Waxholmbolaget ferries can鈥檛 run on all routes, so hovercrafts are replacing them. Usually only open to local residents, this year it has been opened to the general public. As each hovercraft holds only four and we鈥檒l be on separate rides arriving at different times to the island.

We鈥檒l be on the island between 10:00 and 14:30, cooking over an open fire around noon, taking a short hike some time later. We will also bring firewood for a fire.

How to book your hovercraft ride
You must book your own round-trip hovercraft ride from 脜s盲ttra brygga to Finnhamn by calling 08-77 123 77 before Friday at 7:00 PM at the latest. There will be time slots to choose from, so pick the ones that suits you during our stay on the island. Slots matching the bus schedule (bus 626) are popular and will be harder to get, so traveling by car will be easier.

Costs
During the off-season, your 30-day SL ticket or any longer period ticket is valid for a free hovercraft ride. No ticket sales take place on board, but you can purchase one in the SL app at fare 3.

Where to Meet
Let's meet at the wind shelter at Vindskydd Talludden on Finnhamn. This will be our base camp for the day.

Group Chat
All participants will be invited via a link to join a WhatsApp group. Then we can coordinate arrival since we鈥檒l all be arriving at different times.
