About us
AI is rewriting how knowledge work gets done faster than any technology shift in a generation. The best way to navigate it is alongside others who are figuring it out too!
This Meetup is focused on how people are using AI to automate work: AI for building apps (software engineering) along with integrating AI into applications and business processes.
We have monthly meetups at the AI Lab in Maplewood where folks can demo their workflows and projects to get feedback. It's always a lively, open discussion about the latest tools such as Open Claw and Claude skills.
Bring your laptops and be ready to participate!

AI Builders Meetup
Renaissance AI Lab, 7525 Sussex Ave, Maplewood, MO, USJoin us at the AI Lab for a hands-on evening where we explore how developers and builders use AI in their daily work.
This month we have something special: Gateway X - the STL venture studio actively investing in AI-native companies - is sending Adam and Simrin to meet our builders. If you've ever thought about shipping something that scales or turning your side project into a company, this is the room to be in.
Adam and Simrin from Gateway X are joining us, actively looking for the next wave of AI-native founders to back. We'll kick off with AI news as usual, then feature their presentation on how AI is reshaping marketing and professional services. Later we'll open up for Q&A, demos, and the lively conversation this group is known for. If you've been sitting on an idea, or just want to understand what it looks like to go from builder to founder, this is the night to show up. Come with questions. Come with ideas. Come ready to make an impression.
Gateway X is a St. Louis–based venture studio that builds and backs seedstrapped AI-native companies. Founded by Jesse Pujji and built in STL, they originate their own startups and invest in early-stage founders, with a thesis centered on how AI is reshaping marketing and professional services. Portfolio highlights: Growth Assistant hit $10M ARR in 2 years; Aux Insights turned profitable in 100 days. They run an invite-only Residency program for founders exploring the right hill to climb, and a 2x per year Fellowship program that backs the best from that group with $1-2M investment and intensive accelerator support to get teams to their first dollar of profit.
As always:
- Feel free to stand up and share a quick win, tool, or workflow that’s saving you time.
- Open to all levels — the only requirement is curiosity and a willingness to learn in public.
