What is Forró ao Pé de Serra?

Forró ao Pé de Serra is a monthly event organized by Forró Project organization that starts with a dance workshop followed by a cozy party and social dance that aims to promote forró in Stockholm and expand its community.

What is forró?

Forró is a couple dance and a genre of music that originated in northeast Brazil and has evolved to include many different musical beats and dance styles. In the beginning, forró was associated with the working class. However, it is now very much international.

Why should you visit us?

Nothing like a good forró party to dance, listen to great music by a talented DJ, meet old friends, make new ones, and have a great time on a Friday evening.

Never danced forró?

Do not miss our dance workshop at the beginning of every event.
