• Use valuation tools the pros rely on
• Build your own fair-value estimates using real-world data

1. What does Value Mean – We’ll walk through core concepts including Warren Buffett’s philosophy, use simple analogies like property investing, and touch on common pitfalls like value traps or broader market phenomena like the “Korea Discount.”
2. How to Screen/Pick – Introduction to key valuation ratios, and also how to approach situations where companies have negative EPS.
3. Methods to Assess Valuation – We’ll give a simple walkthrough of DCF and comparable analysis, using a fictional company to illustrate how to determine if a stock is under or overvalued. We’ll also share a practical approach for retail investors to estimate price targets using consensus EPS and their own assumed P/E multiples.
